Frequently Asked Questions

It’s understandable to have some questions for your DJ before your event or big day. We’ve put together some quick hits to know before connecting with Akeem.

Q. How do I secure a date?

A. Once we confirm the date is available, we provide a contract to secure said date on the calendar. You can make changes to your package after your date is booked.

Q. DO you require a deposit?

A. Yes, 50% of the total amount is required 30 days prior to the event date. The remaining balance is required 7 days before the event date. This information will be found in the contract.

Q. How does pricing work?

A. The prices are listed to give clients a good idea of what the cost will be. Prices may vary based on the information given by the client. Travel is not listed online because it’s dependent on the package and where you need services. We’ll discuss that in the early stages of booking.

Q. What kind of music will be played?

A. One of the great things about booking DJ Prince Akeem is that adaptability is never a problem. The priority is always about the guests and the client being satisfied. The music selection has a wide range. You will also be asked about musical preference ahead of time. Also, sample mixes can be found on this website. Click on the MUSIC tab.

Q. DO I get to ask questions or discuss logistics with akeem?

A. Yes, Akeem meets with clients virtually roughly 30 days before a wedding or an event to discuss logistics and the process. If it is a private or corporate event, the client and Akeem will likely connect via email, but a virtual meeting is always available.

Q. How many hours are included in your packages?

A. Private and corporate events range range from 2-5 hours. We do not charge by the hour. Our wedding packages cover up to 6 hours. One hour for the ceremony, which includes 30 minutes of seating music before the ceremony and running ceremony sound. Our reception packages consist of 5 hours of coverage, cocktail hour to grand exit.

Q. Do you travel outside of the Atlanta area?

A. Absolutely! From the United States to destination weddings, our clients bring us everywhere. We’ll work with you to discuss travel whether that’s a road trip or a flight.
